Players of Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra, which finished the recently concluded Bangladesh Premier League campaign as runners-up, met with the club Chairman and Managing Director of Bashundhara Group, a leading business conglomerate of the country, Sayem Sobhan Anvir, with the trophy in a grand reception at a city hotel on Monday.
Congratulating the players on their success, club Chairman Sayem Sobhan Anvir said, “It is impressive to see that Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra clinched the runner-up trophy with outstanding football throughout the season. I am really happy. But this is not the end and we want to grab the champion’s crown. We must move forward step by step.”
He also announced a bonus of Tk 25 lakh for the booters and staffs of the Sheikh Russel KC, one of the top-rated football clubs in the country, for their performance in the Bangladesh Premier League.
