Bashundhara Cement digital photography workshop ends
Bashundhara Group Adviser (PR) and Head of AHR Lt Col (retd) Khandaker Abdul Wahed distributed certificates among the participants of the workshop at the concluding ceremony.
Bashundhara Group Advisor (Press and Media) Mohammad Abu Tayeb inaugurated the event as the chief guest on Friday.
At the inaugural ceremony, Abu Tayeb said, “Photojournalism is now a new field of journalism. This is a mirror of mass media and one of the three medium of communication. A photograph can make someone famous and well-known while it can also damage their reputation.”
“This event aims at raising awareness and enhancing skills of professionals of various concerns of Bashundhara Group,” he said.
A total of 26 participants took part in the programme, of which 17 officers are from Bashundhara Cement, one from Bashundhara LP Gas, one from Bashundhara Paper Mill, two from Bashundhara Food and Beverage Industries Limited, two from Press and Media and three from other concerns of Bashundhara Group. Most of the participants were the officers of marketing and IT sector.
Reuters photojournalist Andrew Biraj started the 1st session of the workshop. He spoke about foundation, history, digital and analogue photography.
Another Reuters photojournalist Rafiqur Rahman imparted training on indoor and outdoor photography. AP photographer Pavel Rahman gave training on camera frame.
Special photographer of the daily Kaler Kantho Firoz Chowdhury talked about field-level photography and technical matters.
