CSE got the first commodity exchange certificate

 Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) got the certificate of commodity exchange for the first time with the aim of opening new horizons of trade and commerce in the country. Commerce State Minister Ahsanul Islam Titu presented this certificate to the Chairman. It was organized on the occasion of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birthday and National Children’s Day, discussion meeting and prayer program. CDBL Chairman Sheikh Kabir Ahmed and BSEC Chairman Shibli Rubaiyat-ul-Islam were present at this time.

Ahsanul Islam Titu said, Commodity Exchange has been my personal dream for a long time. When Chairman of CSE Asif Ibrahim took charge, I said one thing to him, it is not possible to make Chittagong Stock Exchange feasible with just equity, but at least as a service, you go to Securities Exchange Commission for commodities. I hope whoever heads the Securities Exchange Commission takes a liberal look and a new direction opens up.

He also said that the Commodity Exchange has a close relationship with the Ministry of Commerce. Today we are thinking about prize discovery, looking for prize rational value. Commodity exchange can play a huge role in this space. Commodity exchange can be started this year with these especially potatoes, sugar and oil. First non-delivery then can start with delivery.

In 2013, we signed an MoU with Dhaka Stock Exchange with Pan Asia regarding gold exchange. Through this we can exchange gold, it has many possibilities. I think especially asset management companies, merchant banks who have diversified portfolios will also act as a balance. Because there will be futures, there will be forward markets, there will be opportunities for hedging. He also mentioned that many avenues will be opened.

He also said that if the stakeholders work together under BSEC, the country and the capital market will move forward.

BSEC Chairman Shibli Rubaiyat-ul-Islam said commodity exchange was a missing component. Which is in other countries of the world. Through this, the right price of export import, reducing the distance of middlemen, getting rid of the problem of under invoice, over invoice. Through this discipline will be created in export import. Business will become much easier in the coming days. Buyers will know the price of the product in the global market.

In the speech of the special guest, Sheikh Kabir said, Bangabandhu loved children very much, that is why his birthday is being celebrated as Children’s Day.

On the occasion of Bangabandhu’s birthday and Children’s Day, five visually impaired people were given jobs in different companies.
