Bashundhara Industrial Complex Limited (BICL), one of the key enterprises of Bashundhora Group (BG), is going to introduce a new cement brand named as ‘Bashundhara Cement’. In this regard a campaign has started named ÒemyÜiv wm‡g›U Gi e¨vM wWRvBb `vI, 5 jvL UvKv wR‡Z bvIÓ through a press conference at Dhaka Press Club on January 12, 2012. On behalf of BG Mohammad Belayet Hossain, Senior Deputy Managing Director of the Group , Mohammad Abu Tayeb, Advisor (information and media) of the Group, Nasimul Hai, Company Secretary of the Group, AKM Mahbub-Uz-Zaman, Head of Project, Cement Sector,BG, Md. Saiful Islam Helaly, Chief Marketing Officer of Cement Sector, BG were present. In this conference they have informed about the rules and regulations as well as the deadline (January 10, 2012) of the competition. There are main three objectives of this campaign which are: 1. Motivate people of all ages for creative works. 2. Finalize the design of cement bag by considering the choice of cement users, engineers, architects, masons, sellers and all stakeholders. 3. Inform cement users, sellers, reference groups about “Bashundhara Cement”, another quality product of BG, before launching.
Cement sector has used various types of medium for communication such as newspapers, banner, festoon, billboard, leaflet, direct consumer program, road show, face book, email etc. Huge response has been reflected by quantity of designs as 1012 designs (Email: 849, CD/DVD: 23, Hard Copy: 140) have been submitted for the competition.
Primary screening has started for screening out top 20 designs. In the selection process of this bag design campaign, Artist Hamiduzzaman Khan, Professor Dr. M. Shamim Z. Bosunia, Architect Rabiul Hossain are taking part as honorable judge. Selected 20 designers will be instructed for further changes, improvements & renovations. All are waiting for the Top 20 designs and designers who will be selected based on qualification, creativity and intelligence.
